Wood pellets in 15 kg bags
15 kg bags are practical for home pellet boilers, stoves and fireplaces. BioWood Nordic produces the pellets at its own plant in Juodeikiai, Mažeikiai district, Lithuania, from dry wood, with no chemical additives or binders.
The bags are stacked on pallets and film-wrapped so the pellets stay dry in transport and storage.

How many pellets does your home need?
1 kg of pellets with a calorific value of 16.5 MJ/kg gives about 4.6 kWh of heat, so 1 tonne gives about 4,600 kWh.
Example: if a house needs 20,000 kWh of heat a year and the boiler efficiency is about 90%, it needs roughly 4.5–5 tonnes of pellets a season, or 300–330 bags of 15 kg. The exact amount depends on the size of the house, its insulation and the boiler.
